What happens if I am injured in Florida by an at-fault driver who doesn’t have auto insurance?
When you’ve been injured and sustained damages by another driver and they don’t have any liability coverage, the entire onus rests with your insurance and with what you have for coverage. If you don’t have any liability coverage, that’s fine. You didn’t cause the accident. The other driver needed that, but you would need uninsured motorist coverage at that point in order to pay for any of the damages and injuries that you received from the other driver.
